The popular baby names in 2015 according to the experts are expected to be the trends that have been witnessed in the last few years. By using data availed from the National Statistics Office along with a proper dosage  of intuition, several hot baby names predictions has been compiled to help the would be parents to get a clear choice.

Understanding the interesting naming trends for girls

An interesting trend that has been noticed in the last few years is the soaring popularity of the name that starts with the alphabet ‘E’, especially for the girl child. More than 18% of the 50 top girls’ names started with E in the year 2013.
Besides the usual favorites like Emilia and Elizabeth, new popular names have been added such as Elsa and Evie, however, Elsie is undoubtedly a real success story. Back in 1996, this name was also obsolete and with rankings of 823, but with time, it soared to 47th place and the meteoric rise is said not to display any kinds of slowing down in popularity.
An effective way towards predicting names that are increasing in popularity is to have a look at the entries that appeared in first time top 100 list of last year. 2014 saw the arrival for three new names which are Victoria, Beatrice and Darcy. The names that are finally looked in top 100 and created sensation in between 2012 to 2013 included the likes of Willow (from 69 to 54); Ivy (from 88 to 66) and Violet (from 100 to 78).

The popularity trends, in regards to boys’ names is said to be somewhat less fluid and fluctuates than that of girls’ names. Hence, one can expect to view top 10 to be relatively unchanged right from 2013 to 2014. The traditional choices such as Harry, Jack and Oliver still dominate and remain unchallenged to this date.
However, more movement is expected in the top 100’s lower half. One such interesting current trend witnessed is the increasing tide of the names that are Central European inspired which includes the likes of Louis, Albert, Max, Frederick and Leon all in top 100. One can easily understand that these names do evoke certain images of sophistication and elegance of several cities such as Prague, Vienna and Berlin, along with their retro vibes with the resurgence of the all time Victorian favorites like Arthur, Charles and Alfred.
The remaining Central European names which are said to enjoy increase in popularity by association. As a matter of fact, the trend could be seen to be in effect with the European stalwart Ernest and Otto having risen dramatically and Rudy, Emil and Maximilian making steady gains in the last couple of years. With the popular and attractive names in hand, one can select a good name for the new born baby in 2015, which would be modern and attractive as well.

Russian Baby Names are Unique and Interesting

There are so many questions that come into the minds of parents who want to name their babies. What Russian name should I give to my new born baby? Will the Russian baby names suit the personality of my baby? Will it sound good to others? Will it be suitable throughout all his or her life? Will it be appropriate throughout a full life cycle starting with the birth of the baby - toddler - school child - teenager - adult - parents - middle age - retirement and ending with old age? Will it suit a pensioner as well as a baby? Will your baby be popular because of the name? Will the school child be teased mercilessly about a name? What will your baby think of your choice? If these questions worry you, then you should take the help of your parents, relatives, friends or even baby naming sites.

If you take a closer look at the Russian baby names, you will find that Russian nomenclature in general is quite unique and interesting, in which each person has three personal names: a Christian name, a middle patronymic name taken from the father’s given name, and a surname that reflects gender, so that a son of Ivan would be known by the last name Ivanovich, while a daughter would use Ivanovna. At birth, a new born baby is given a formal name known as a “passport name,” but usually is called through childhood by his or her nick name. It is at the age of 16 that a boy or girl begins to be addressed by the formal first name and patronymic, for example, Piotr’s daughter Olenka would overnight become Olga Petronva.  She would be addressed by the new name.  Russian names are quite popular and some of the unisex names such as Sasha and Mischa have entered the American mainstream. If you are a soon-to-be-parent, you can pick a Russian name for your baby.
